Few people say, "down... in Blaine".  Ha haaa!

But I don't want greeting cards. I want to get fucked up on trampolines
Pretty much everything that DVS_DAN said is correct.

It was a great day to ride and it was a great group ride. I counted 288 bikes just before we left. I there still was some late comers. So we can say 300+ for sure. The sweepers as they were called. They did a fantastic job. The group at times stretched out to I would say 2 miles long. They had a long ways to catch up after blocking the intersections for us. The gas stop went pretty good I thought with two gas stations and 300 bikes. The route down was great. But on the way back we could of had a different route. There are many to take but we could have gone through the back side of Lake City instead on down town. But I know some like going through red lights. Yes it is fun I know. We were so close to Welch we should of run it. I think it could have been done safely I think. And one last thought. Did any one ever call Poor Richards and tell them that there would be 300+ guests.  Hats off to Bear and all the support he had for a job well done.

I was pleasantly surprised. These kind of rides are definitely not my thing. I prefer to ride alone or in very small groups.
But I enjoyed the day. Thanks to all the staff and sweepers. Well done.

I did see we had one cop stopping traffic at an intersection for us. Was that an impromptu block on his part?

I was surprised a 300 bike ride could go well, especially with a gas stop for 300 bikes!?  I've been checking out the videos, and the sweepers had everyone routed around so they could get back onto the street efficiently.  I heard good things about the ride and sweepers, so everyone was on the same page.  Pretty damn impressed and proud of our crew.

Poor Richard's was set up well, with decent room to ourselves, a buffet to get people through quickly, DJ in the corner kept it exciting, raffles for a bunch of big ass prizes... good stuff. Did everyone see that badass drone?!  I'm alright that there wasn't a stunt show this time. Someone called the cops because bikes were reving their engines when they left.  My one disappointment... no bike wash! Those ZG Girl outfits ;D

1. I am a little bummed about the stunt show. It's not that I haven't seen plenty of them in the last 10 years, but I know of several people that couldn't go on the ride that showed up mostly for the stunt show. I know a ton of planning goes into this stuff, but I assumed that a location that allows/pre-approves a stunt show would have been a big priority. I can't really complain though, as I enjoyed the ride and I definitely do not have time to assist with the planning.

2. Really glad the interaction at the end with police went as well as it did. The cop that Howie and I talked to was super cool about everything as soon as he saw that we were cooperating with him. However, JBerg screaming in the background about how we "have all of this on 200 GoPros" almost changed the cops mind about letting us go. I'm sure that if they had seen the sweeper's GoPro videos, we wouldn't have been let go.  It was disappointing to hear about how many people ran because they didn't have license/insurance/etc.

3. I'm curious how many bikes we lost during the route because it was just too long for some people. It was good scenery and probably in the group's best interests to get out of the city. I probably saw a total of 6 cops/sheriffs/troopers (not including the 4-5 or however many were involved with the stop in Burnsville). I didn't have any big problems with traffic in the intersections I was sweeping, until I was blocked on the other side of an unswept line of traffic and almost got left behind.

Overall, good day, good weather, lots of fun :)
