I thought this was an ice fishing thread...
I finally found fish on my lake!!! ...but nothing bit yesterday.  I can't wait for the day I can drive home from fishing at night and not freeze to death in the bitter cold

Hell yes it would be, that's like 5 minutes from my house.  Public boat launch on the east shore is probably the easy entry point - parking for trailer, roll right onto ice.

Lake Martha is a bit of a long haul for me.  Anywhere closer to St. Paul / Mapplewood?  I'm kinda tempted to just go pirate Lake Phalen...

The setup I got is what I got (tire sealant worked GREAT) but I am putting nuts on the backsides of the center rows on the back tire to keep them from coming out.  I can see how longer screws plus a second layer of rubber might be good.
They might still ride at Tanners Lake right behind the St.Paul Harley dealership.  I think we accessed it on the North end, at 6th Street?, from what I'm seeing on Goggle Maps. It's worth a look to just see if there's a track plowed

I've probably purchased over a dozen bikes and atvs from Larson's over the decades.
The first being a brand new 1982 Yamaha 750 Virago.

Thanks for posting. I did not know.

Seeing how you asked. If I remember right his life in motorcycles was.
In the mid to late 70's he was a participating manger of Team USA ISDT.
He was the manager of Team Husqvarna USA in the 76 ISDT.
I remember his son Mike saying he had won over 200 trophies in his day. Which was flat-track, scrambles, 1/2 mile, short track, hill climbs, and endures.
He was one of the founding members of the Norsemen Motorcycle Club.
I remember seeing that he was a board member of District 23.
Mike said the whole family went to Sturgis 44 years straight.
So you could say this man is a true biker.
And one more thing. He was married to the same lady for more than 62 years.
He was 81.

We finally got this beast running!!
That thing isn't old enough to not be running?!  Is that the sled that needed a rebuild forever?

I saw this on some dirt bike buddy's FB pages.  Was he big into racing back in the day too, dirt bikes?

That's pretty shitty, and way too soon.  I'm glad he was a big fan of the forums and got a lot of riding time in with everyone.  I bet most all of us had run into him at a ride or event in the past.
