Gawd snowmobiling is fun
« on: December 17, 2013, 11:48:03 AM »
  • After some how convincing ewautin to help tune the sleds, Jamie and I tested them out on the local trails last night.
Sooo much fun. I think we hit the trails a little after 1 and finally loaded them back on the trailer after 3. The trails were ours for the running, and we took advantage of it, lol.
We have prevented Darwin from doing his job for far too long

  • First time?  Bear and I had a horrible experience slowly weaseling through town to get to what we thought would be nice sled trails, but just ended up to be the shoulder of Hwy 169.  There were better trails after that, but it felt good to ride around on a sled.
But I don't want greeting cards. I want to get fucked up on trampolines
Pretty much everything that DVS_DAN said is correct.

  • First serious time this year. We ran them thru the woods by my place before but the ultra was running on two cylinders and the storm would backfire then take off like a banshee. Eric was able to read what was literally right in front of us (on the sticker under the hood) to get them running probably 95% from just his garage. We unloaded at the holiday off 169 and 41 and hit the trails from there.

Im not kidding our normal group would have mentally devastated this girl. Im talking years of therapy to even be able to tie her shoes again. She was nice enough girl but she was in over her head.

Lol, glad someone else saw that.

Yea, they are both running pretty good. I think they could use some at speed tuning, but they run pretty damn good right now.

  • I still need to figure out how to load mine into the diesel.  i need something over my aluminum ramp so the carbides will slide up.  Secondly, I need an extension or snow bank just to get up to the box height

I always did the snow bank. I would drive around where I want to drop the sled and see then the fun starts.

  • I think Cities Edge is 500 for a weekend friday night to Monday Morning on a Sno Pro 500.  510 for a Snopro 800 for a weekend.  They have half days and stuff like for 270 it looks like.  They also rent gear.
